Colorado Springs is a city of approximately 344,000 residents nestled at the
foot of majestic Pikes Peak, about 75 miles south of Denver. It is home to
numerous high-tech, aerospace, defense and manufacturing companies and boasts
several top-notch educational institutions. Close to the mountains, yet with a
mild climate (over 250 days of sunshine per year), Colorado Springs provides
many opportunities for year-round outdoor recreation, including over 120 city
parks, 15 golf courses and several ski areas within a couple hours' drive. If
you'd rather watch sports than play them, Colorado Springs is home to the Sky
Sox minor-league baseball team and numerous collegiate sports featuring the
U.S. Air Force Academy and Colorado College teams. Also located in Colorado
Springs is the U.S. Olympic Training Center. The city also boasts several
museums, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (the USA's only mountain zoo)
and the Pikes Peak Center auditorium.
Big enough to be vibrant, exciting and prosperous, but small enough to remain a
safe, pleasant and family-friendly community, Colorado Springs is truly a great
place to live and work. I love Colorado Springs - and I'm sure you will too!
